Sol Cresta uses the same docking and formation techniques as Terra Cresta's classic shooting game Moon Cresta. It also incorporates the new "free-form docking technique". Based on the alignment of three vessels, the flagship Yamato (Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi) can use different attacks.
