1968

Alan Fischer directs Ambrosio’s adaptation of M. G. Lewis’s Gothic novel The Monk. He portrays a non-known Marissa Marcel as the infamous Matilda.

1970

John Durick wrote Minsky, his suspense film, with Marcel as his inspiration. Based in New York City, the film focuses on the demise of an artist of fame and Marissa is the main character suspect of killing him.

1999

Marcel and Durick pair up in Marcel’s last performance following a long hiatus. The movie Two of Everything is a subversive, satirical thriller that examines the dual nature of a successful music star and her body counterpart.
